Monique Webster is a trauma-focused psychologist with a deep passion for helping individuals reclaim their lives after adversity. With experience and specialised training in trauma therapy, Monique supports her clients in processing and healing from the effects of trauma, chronic stress, and emotional pain. Monique uses Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, a powerful evidence-based approach that helps clients reduce distress and transform negative beliefs stemming from traumatic experiences.
Known for her warm, empathetic approach, Monique creates a safe and supportive environment where healing becomes possible. Her work is guided by the belief that recovery is not only achievable but can also lead to profound personal growth and resilience.
Monique holds general registration as a psychologist in Australia. Her journey began with a Bachelor of Commerce (HR) from the University of Pretoria, followed by several years of work in New Zealand. After returning to South Africa, she completed her Bachelor of Psychology degree and began working as a counsellor, driven by her passion for supporting people through life’s challenges. In 2018, Monique relocated to Australia with her family to further pursue her career in mental health.
Her diverse clinical experience includes working with victims of crime, trauma survivors, individuals managing chronic pain, and those facing psychological disabilities. Monique has provided care in a variety of settings, including telehealth, community mental health programs, residential aged care, and government primary health networks (PHNs).
Monique is currently accepting referrals for adolescents and adults seeking trauma therapy via EMDR, available for both face-to-face and telehealth sessions. Whether you’re recovering from recent trauma or working through long-standing emotional wounds, Monique offers a compassionate, evidence-based approach to help you heal, grow, and move forward.
