50 minute sessions - $215

Medicare rebate allows for a saving of $96.65 per session with a gap fee of $118.35.

Do I need a referral?

No. You can book directly however, Medicare may only fund certain conditions.

How do I get a mental health care plan?

Your GP creates a mental health plan just for you.  Your general practitioner will recommend you to a psychologist or other licenced mental health professional so that you can use the plan if they determine that you are qualified for one. Six sessions are allowed in the initial schedule. After that, the practitioner creates a report to give to your doctor, and you go back for a review. The doctor may now make a referral for four further sessions.
